TOWN OF GLENBURN DISPOSAL SITE

Effective October 1, 2024, Construction and demolition debris will not be accepted at the landfill for the remainder of the season. This service will resume in the spring upon reopening.
The landfill will remain open for all other acceptable items through the rest of the fall season.
The Glenburn Landfill will be open for the season starting Saturday, May 11, 2024 from 8 AM to 3 PM and continuing the 2nd Saturday and 4th Sunday of every month.
Permits are required and can be obtained at the landfill or at the Town Office during regular business hours. Glenburn residents only.
ACCEPTABLE MATERIALS
Only the following waste materials generated with the Town of Glenburn may be taken to the town disposal site:
A. Brush and Leaves (limbs & branches no larger than 6-inches in diameter).
B. Demolition debris such as shingles, siding, sheetrock, concrete blocks, treated or untreated boards, etc.
C. White good including stoves, washers, dryers, and auto body parts and other heavy metal pieces. (No refrigerators or air conditioners that contain Freon. Contact S. Morgan Steel, 3620 Broadway, Bangor 947-3710 for disposal of these items)
D. Heavy metal pieces that are free of grease or oil.
E. Mattresses and bulky furniture (no permit required).
F. Computers, laptops, televisions, printers, monitors, copiers, fax machines, scanners
G. Tires ($4.00 charge for each tire.) No commercial or oversized tires accepted.
All other electronics can be taken to Pine Tree Recycling. All fees, if any, will be the responsibility of the resident.

UNACCEPTABLE MATERIALS
Any products that contain mercury; fluorescent light bulbs.
