ROADSIDE RUBBISH COLLECTION REGULATIONS

 

 

Normal household rubbish is picked up on your scheduled day as noted on the schedule above.  Please have your rubbish curbside by 7 AM.

Tires are no longer being accepted with roadside trash.  

Acceptable Materials

Household garbage, cold ashes, small wooden furniture, and similar waste materials ordinarily accumulated in and around the house.
All materials need to be bagged, bundled, or tied.  Loose materials in trash cans will not be accepted.
Bagged leaves can be placed for roadside pick up.  Limit is two bags per week.
Unacceptable Materials
Construction debris, dangerous or environmentally unsafe materials, electronics such as TV’s and Computers, light bulbs, oil, oil based paint, explosives, ammunition, mattresses, sofas, and chairs. No large items or items weighing over 40 lbs.  
Mattresses and sofas can be taken to the Glenburn Landfill during open hours at no cost.
Placement at Curbside
Refuse should be placed in a position as accessible to the roadside as possible, yet out of vehicle traffic and snow removal activities. Refuse should not be placed roadside prior to collection day.  Refuse collection is every Wednesday including holidays starting at 7 AM. All materials, even in trash cans, must be bagged and weigh 40 lbs or less.

On the following holidays, trash pickup will be a one day delay for all residents.
